I just had a chance to listen to your Christmas album and loved it. How did you go about choosing the songs, and which ones were left off that almost made the cut?

There are so many great songs to choose from. A lot of our decisions were arbitrary, and to balance out the record. I didn't want there to be too many slow songs, and I also didn't want to record a ballad as an uptempo number just for the sake of putting it on the record. We considered a lot of non-traditional holiday songs, like "Say It Ain't So" by the Flaming Lips, and "Christmas Lights" by Coldplay. Everyone kept telling me to do "Santa Baby" but I put my foot down on that one. :) We considered recording "Blue Christmas," "I'll Be Home for Christmas," "Silver Bells," and a number of hymns, but we were starting to run out of time, and we already had a number of tracks that we were happy with, so we decided to call it a day... maybe we'll do another Christmas LP or EP in the future... :)
